چکیده

Objective: To determine the frequency of acute stent thrombosis after primary percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction. Study Design: Descriptive cross sectional study. Place and Duration Study: Department Cardiology, National Institute Cardiovascular Disease Hospital, Karachi from 30th 2017 to 31st December 2017. Methodology: One hundred sixty three will undergo either drug-eluting stents (coated medication) or bare-metal was placed. Patients who developed sudden onset typical chest pain, indicating ischemia distribution target vessel (in which placed), these patient’s angiography done (relooked) if it showed complete occlusion within stented segment evidence thrombus, patient labeled as having thrombosis. Results: There were 117 (71.7%) males 46 (28.23%) females mean age 51.78±13.09 years. Drug-eluting placed 87(53.37%) bare metal 76(46.63%) patients. Positive 2 (1.23%). Conclusion: The PCI found be 1.23%. Keywords: infarction (STEMI), Percutaneous (PCI), Acute infarction, Stent

Early Stent Thrombosis and Mortality After Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in ST-Segment–Elevation Myocardial Infarction

Early ST within 30 days after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with ST-segment– elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is a serious complication, resulting in increased mortality. Three of 4 randomized trials have demonstrated an increased risk of acute (≤24 hours) ST with bivalirudin compared with heparin with either routine or provisional glycoprotein IIb/IIIa rec...

Stent Thrombosis after Rescue Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in Acute ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction

MAIN PROBLEM To determine the incidence of coronary stent thrombosis (ST) in patients with acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) after rescue percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). METHODS An observational study looking at the incidence of ST in a middle-eastern population. A total of 510 consecutive patients presented with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STE...

No-Reflow Phenomenon in Patients with ST-Elevation Acute Myocardial Infarction, Treated with Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Study of Predictive Factors

Introduction: No-reflow phenomenon in coronary vessels, manifested in some patients with reperfused acute myocardial infarction (MI), is associated with poor clinical and functional outcomes. Therefore, evaluation of predisposing risk factors can be helpful in risk assessment and identification of patients at higher risk. Herein, we aimed to study the predictive factors for the development of...

Platelet-To-Lymphocyte Ratio as a Predictor of No-Reflow after Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in Patients with ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Introduction: No-reflow increases the complications and mortality rate of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Therefore, it is important to identify patients at a higher risk of developing no-reflow. This study aimed to systematically review the prognostic value of the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) to predict no-reflow. Materials and Methods:</s...

acute st-elevation myocardial infarction after coronary stent fracture

the invention of the drug-eluting stent (des) has brought about revolutionary changes in the field of interventional cardiology. in the des era, in-stent restenosis has declined but new issues such as stent thrombosis have emerged. one of the emerging paradigms in the des era is stent fracture. there are reports about stent fracture leading to in-stent restenosis or stent thrombosis. most of th...
